What is the LyfPDF invoice generator?

International VAT, GST and sales-tax invoices
Start with Global custom settings or choose an editable setup for EU VAT, UK VAT, India GST, Australia GST, Canada HST, US sales tax, UAE VAT, Saudi VAT, Singapore GST, New Zealand GST, South Africa VAT or Japan consumption tax. Presets save time, but tax rates and required fields can vary by location, registration status, product and transaction—always verify the applicable rules.
How to create an invoice online
Follow these steps or read the illustrated examples in our guide to creating an invoice for free.
- Enter your business details, logo and optional tax registration number.
- Choose a country/tax preset, currency, PDF language, date locale and template.
- Add the client and line items manually, or import items from a CSV file.
- Set discount, taxes, withholding, shipping and any amount already paid.
- Check the live preview and click Download PDF. Save a reusable project if you want a portable backup.
Making a GST invoice (India)
Choose Tax Invoice, add your GSTIN in Tax ID and the buyer’s GSTIN in the client’s tax ID, then enter the GST rate. For a sale within your state, tick Split into CGST + SGST — an 18% rate prints as CGST 9% and SGST 9%. For an inter-state sale, rename the tax to IGST and leave the split off. Add the HSN/SAC code in the item description if your buyer needs it.
Invoice, receipt, proforma or quote?
An invoice asks for payment for goods or services already supplied. A receipt confirms a payment was received. A proforma invoice or quote is sent before the sale so the buyer can approve the price. Pick the document type and the labels on the PDF change to match.
Issue invoices only for real transactions and check your local tax rules — LyfPDF prepares the document; you remain responsible for its content.

How do I create an invoice for free?
Enter your business and client details, add items, choose the currency and tax settings, then download the PDF. No account or watermark is added.
Can I create VAT, GST or sales-tax invoices?
Yes. Editable presets cover common international starting points. You can also use two tax lines, India CGST + SGST split, or a withholding deduction. Verify the rate required for your transaction.
Which currencies are supported?
Choose from supported currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, INR, CAD, AUD, AED, SAR, SGD, JPY, CNY, BRL, MXN, ZAR and NGN. The available list depends on your browser. Display currency as a symbol, code or name, with independent regional number and date formats.
Can the invoice labels use another language?
Yes. PDF labels can use English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch or Hindi, with a separate regional date format. Your entered descriptions are not automatically translated. Check the downloaded PDF; some non-Latin text uses a raster fallback rather than selectable text.
Can I import items or reuse an invoice project?
Yes. Import CSV rows using Description, Qty, Unit, Rate and SKU columns. Save project downloads a reusable JSON file that you can reopen later.
Is my invoice data uploaded or stored?
The PDF is built on your device. Working details are saved locally in this browser where storage is available, and Save project downloads a reusable JSON file. Browser storage can be cleared or blocked. A share link contains encoded document details and allows anyone with the link to open an editable copy; it is not encrypted private storage.
Can I make a receipt, bill, proforma invoice or quote?
Yes. Choose Invoice, Tax Invoice, Bill, Receipt, Proforma Invoice, Quotation, Estimate or Credit Note. The PDF title and relevant labels adapt to the selected type. Selecting a type does not verify payment, issue a refund or certify tax compliance.
Is there a limit or watermark?
There is no site-imposed task limit and no added watermark. Long invoices continue onto extra PDF pages.
How many invoice templates are in the gallery?
There are 19 choices: 18 presets plus Customized. The presets use six base design families. Customized opens the style controls for the current document.
Can I download and print my invoice as a PDF?
Yes. Use Download PDF or Print. Choose A4, US Letter or Legal, then review the output, especially when the invoice contains many items.
Can I add my logo and customize the design?
Yes. Add your logo and adjust available colors, fonts and editable content. Review the preview after changing styles and save a project file if you want to continue editing later.
Can I download a Word or Excel invoice template?
This tool exports the invoice as PDF. JSON saves an editable LyfPDF project and CSV imports or exports item data. Those files are not native Word or Excel invoice layouts.
Does saving an invoice schedule recurring billing?
No. Save project makes manual reuse easier. Reopen the JSON file and update the customer, invoice number, dates and charges before downloading the next invoice.
Are uploaded images included in an invoice share link?
Uploaded logos, signature images and other uploaded image objects are omitted from the share link. Someone with the link can open an editable copy of the encoded document details. Review the shared copy before sending it.
Do payment logos or QR codes collect money automatically?
Payment labels and QR details display instructions. LyfPDF does not operate a payment gateway or verify a bank transaction. Enter amounts paid only when they match your actual records.
