Terms & Conditions

Plain-language terms for using LyfPDF's free tools.

Last updated: July 2026. These terms govern your use of lyfpdf.com (“LyfPDF”, “the service”). By using the site you accept them; if you disagree, please don't use the service.

What is the service?

LyfPDF provides free, browser-based document tools. All processing happens locally on your device: we do not receive, store or transmit your files, and we provide no server-side document processing. The service is supported by advertising and requires no account.

What am I allowed to do?

  • Use every tool for personal, educational and commercial work, free of charge.
  • Process any documents you have the right to process.
  • Link to LyfPDF from your site, docs or classroom materials.

What is not allowed?

  • Using the tools to infringe copyright, forge documents, or misrepresent signed content. A signature placed with our editor is an image, not a certified digital signature — do not present it as one where law requires cryptographic signing.
  • Attempting to disrupt the website, scrape it abusively, or misuse the ad systems.
  • Removing watermarks or protections from documents you have no rights to.

You are solely responsible for the documents you process and for complying with the laws that apply to you.

Is there any warranty?

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We work hard on correctness, and tool pages honestly state their limits (for example, compression rasterises text; complex layouts simplify in conversion) — but you should verify important output before relying on it, and keep your originals. Because processing happens on your device, results can also vary with browser and memory.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LyfPDF and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from use of the service. Since we never receive your files, we equally cannot be responsible for their content.

Intellectual property

The LyfPDF name, logo, site design and texts belong to us. The underlying open-source libraries (PDF.js, pdf-lib, Tesseract.js and others) belong to their respective authors under their own licenses. Your documents remain entirely yours — we claim no rights whatsoever over anything you process.

Advertising

The site displays ads (via Google AdSense) only after cookie consent. Ads keep the tools free; we do not endorse advertised products, and your dealings with advertisers are between you and them.

Changes and termination

We may update tools, add features or amend these terms; the “last updated” date reflects changes. Continued use after changes means acceptance. We may restrict access in cases of abuse.
