How to create an invoice online
- Enter your business name, address and optional logo and tax ID.
- Add the client under Bill to.
- Add items with quantity and rate; set discount, tax or GST and any amount already paid.
- Click Download PDF. Use New invoice next time — your details stay and the number goes up by one.
Making a GST invoice (India)
Choose Tax Invoice, add your GSTIN in Tax ID and the buyer’s GSTIN in the client’s tax ID, then enter the GST rate. For a sale within your state, tick Split into CGST + SGST — an 18% rate prints as CGST 9% and SGST 9%. For an inter-state sale, rename the tax to IGST and leave the split off. Add the HSN/SAC code in the item description if your buyer needs it.
Invoice, receipt, proforma or quote?
An invoice asks for payment for goods or services already supplied. A receipt confirms a payment was received. A proforma invoice or quote is sent before the sale so the buyer can approve the price. Pick the document type and the labels on the PDF change to match.
Issue invoices only for real transactions and check your local tax rules — LyfPDF prepares the document; you remain responsible for its content.

How do I create an invoice for free?

Can I add my company logo?
Yes. Click Add logo and choose a PNG or JPG. It appears at the top left of the invoice and is saved in this browser for your next invoice.
How do I make a GST invoice?
Choose Tax Invoice, put your GSTIN in Tax ID and the client's GSTIN in their Tax ID, enter the GST rate and tick Split into CGST + SGST for intra-state sales. For inter-state sales, rename the tax to IGST and leave the split off.
Can I make a receipt, bill, proforma invoice or quote?
Yes. Pick Receipt, Bill, Proforma Invoice, Quote or Estimate from the Document menu; labels such as Due date and Bill to change to match.
Is my invoice data uploaded or stored?
No. The PDF is built on your device. Your details are saved only in this browser's local storage so the next invoice is faster; Clear removes them.
Which currencies are supported?
USD, EUR, GBP, INR, CAD, AUD, AED, BRL, SGD, ZAR, NGN, PHP, JPY and more. Indian rupee amounts print as “Rs.” so the PDF keeps real, searchable text.
Is there a limit or a watermark?
No limits and no watermark. Long invoices continue onto extra pages with the table header repeated.
